Writing a review

How to review a product on AEC Integrations, what the form asks, how we check a review before it is published, and what readers see.

Last updated 12 October 2026

A review on AEC Integrations scores a product on two separate measures. One is the product itself. The other is what getting started with it was like. A good product can be hard to adopt, and a weak one can be easy to start with. Keeping the two scores apart shows readers which is which.

Reviewing is free. You need an account, and you can review each product once.

Start a review

Open the product's page and go to its Reviews section. The button there reads Write a review, Sign in to review or Submit a review, depending on whether you are signed in. If you have already reviewed the product, it says "You've already reviewed this" instead, with a link to your review.

If you are not signed in, the review page asks you to sign in first. After you sign in, you come straight back to the form. See Signing in.

What the form asks

Four things are required:

  • Overall rating, from 1 to 5 stars. This is your score for the product itself.
  • Onboarding experience, from 1 to 5 stars. This is your score for getting set up and started.
  • Headline, one line between 5 and 100 characters.
  • Your review, between 50 and 2,000 characters. Say what worked, what didn't, and who you would recommend it to.

Four more are optional:

  • Your role: Practitioner, Manager, IT, Executive or Other.
  • Your firm, up to 100 characters. It is never shown on your review.
  • Years using this product, a whole number from 0 to 50.
  • Would you recommend it?: Yes, No or Maybe.

Choose Submit review when you are done. You can send at most three reviews in any hour. If a submission fails after that, wait an hour and try again.

Before you write, read the Review Guidelines. They say what a review must and must not contain.

How we check a review

Nothing is published straight away. A person at AEC Integrations reads every review against the Review Guidelines first. An automated check also scores each review's text to help us spot problems. It never turns a review down on its own.

While we check it, your review shows as Pending review on your account page.

When we publish it, we email you, and it shows as Approved. If we turn it down, we email you our reason. Your account page then shows it as Not published, with the reason underneath.

A review we turned down still counts as your review of that product. You cannot send a second one.

What readers see

A published review appears in the product's Reviews section, newest first. It shows:

  • your headline and the date,
  • your Overall and Onboarding stars,
  • what you wrote,
  • your role, your years using the product, and whether you would recommend it, if you gave them.

It does not show your name, your email address or your firm.

Once a product has five published reviews, its page also shows the average Overall and Onboarding scores. With one to four reviews it says "Ratings shown once this product has 5+ reviews."

Changing or removing a review

You cannot edit or withdraw a review from your account. Your account page lists every review you have sent and where each one stands. For removing a review you wrote, see the Privacy Policy. If you delete your account, your reviews stay on the site with no link to you. See Your account and your data.

When the vendor replies

A company that owns the product can post one public reply to your review. We check every reply before it is published, the same way we check reviews. A reply sits under your review, labelled "Response from" and the company's name. It never changes your review, its rating, the product's scores, or where anything ranks. We do not tell you when a company replies.

A company cannot ask you to change or remove your review in a reply, or offer you anything. The Review Guidelines set the rules for replies too.

Reporting a review

If you think someone else's review breaks the Review Guidelines, email support@aecintegrations.com with a link and a short explanation.
