About
Causeway CATO is desktop cost-management software for quantity surveyors and cost consultants. It produces feasibility estimates from historic cost data, develops cost plans through the design stages, and builds bills of quantities from on-screen takeoff of drawings and BIM models. Once the contract is let, it tracks spend and changes against the budget for each package.

- Cost consultants give clients early order-of-cost and feasibility estimates from benchmarked past projects in QuickEst.
- Design
- Cost plans are developed and revised as the design progresses, and up to three revisions can be compared in one report.
- Quantities are re-measured from updated drawings and models as each design stage is issued.
- Pre-Construction
- Measured quantities are billed into a structured bill of quantities in TOAB for tender pricing.
- Construction
- Cost managers track spend against each package budget, with two warning thresholds, and open change details from the packages grid.
