Causeway SignLoad is structural design software for traffic sign supports and foundations. It works out wind loading for any site in the UK or Ireland, sizes steel, aluminium and passively safe posts, and designs spread, planted and screw pile foundations to BS EN 12899-1, BS EN 12767 and the IHE Sign Structures Guide. Causeway states it is certified for CA/CE marking to BS EN 12899.
How teams use it

- Highway engineers pick the most economical post section for a sign from its size and mounting height, using local wind data rather than a blanket loading class.
- Engineers check that sign supports meet the BS EN 12767 passive safety requirements before a sign goes on a high-speed road.
