Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS / Oracle EBS) is Oracle's integrated on-premise ERP suite covering financials, procurement, projects, and supply chain. Used by large commercial construction contractors as a back-office system of record; UpKeep offers a first-party ERP connector to Oracle EBS for maintenance teams. Distinct SKU from Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle Fusion/NetSuite.

Accounting & Finance
  • Runs the general ledger, accounts payable and procurement that a contractor's project costs are ultimately booked against.
  • Feeds actuals, commitments and budgets to project-controls tools such as Octave Sequence so the cost model reconciles to the books.
  • Receives pay-application and payment-status data back from Procore through third-party connectors rather than by rekeying.
IT & Systems Administration
  • Runs on-premise, so IT owns the database, application tier and upgrade cycle rather than consuming a SaaS tenant.
  • Exposes PL/SQL and Java APIs as SOAP and REST services through the Integrated SOA Gateway, with per-instance security grants IT must create.
  • Is the integration hub third-party construction connectors (Calance, Morpheus, UpKeep) authenticate into.
Project Manager
  • Holds the job-cost ledger that project budget and forecast reporting in Procore or a project-controls tool is reconciled against.
  • Supplies committed cost from purchase orders so a PM sees exposure that has not yet been invoiced.
