Human Resources

• Runs core HR and payroll for the whole workforce — PeopleSoft is an HCM suite as much as a financials one, which is why it carries both categories here.
• Holds the worker records that ADP SmartCompliance syncs against for garnishment and ACA obligations.
• Sends project teams to Primavera P6 as schedulable resources, so the people on the payroll are the people in the plan.
• Exposes delivered REST services for Absence Management and Employee Directory so people data reaches downstream systems.

IT & Systems Administration

• Runs on-premise, so IT owns PeopleTools, the database and the upgrade path rather than consuming a SaaS tenant.
• Publishes and consumes REST and SOAP services through PeopleSoft Integration Broker, with application-services security set per service.
• Configures the Primavera P6 link per Project Costing business unit — instance URL, synchronization and integration templates, and the Transaction Identifiers mapping PeopleSoft source types onto P6 cost categories.
• Administers the connector accounts Calance and ADP authenticate through; note there is NO Workato connector for PeopleSoft, so custom HTTP is the iPaaS route.
