Oracle Construction and Engineering Intelligence
About
Oracle Construction and Engineering Intelligence (CEI) is the analytics and predictive-intelligence layer of Oracle's Smart Construction Platform. It runs prebuilt data pipelines from Primavera P6 EPPM, Primavera Cloud, Primavera Unifier and Aconex into a consolidated, curated store, then exposes it through interactive dashboards, natural-language querying and generative-AI narrative summaries. It also forecasts safety risk — ranking which projects in a portfolio are most likely to have an incident in the coming week from safety observations, incidents, workforce data, schedules, documents and weather — and recommends mitigations.
How teams use it
By audience
- Owner/Developer
- Owners see portfolio-wide schedule, cost and performance KPIs consolidated from P6 EPPM, Primavera Cloud, Unifier and Aconex without commissioning a custom warehouse.
- Capital-program teams drill from a portfolio dashboard into the source project's cost and schedule data to find the root cause of an overrun.
- Weekly safety risk rankings tell an owner which of their active projects to send a safety resource to next.
- Executive Leadership
- Executives get one curated view of project performance across the portfolio instead of reconciling reports hand-assembled from four source systems.
- Generative-AI narrative summaries explain what a dashboard visual shows, so a board-level readout does not need an analyst to write it.
- Natural-language querying lets a leader ask a question of project data directly rather than queueing a report request.
- Safety Management
- Safety leaders receive a weekly forecast ranking every project in the portfolio by likelihood of a safety incident.
- The models read safety observations, incidents, workforce data, schedules, documents and weather, so scoring reflects unstructured field reporting, not just recordables.
- Each forecast carries recommended mitigations, moving an enterprise safety program from reactive investigation to targeted prevention.
- Project Manager
- Project directors and PMO staff monitor schedule and cost variance across their programs from prebuilt dashboards instead of manual status reporting.
- Drill-down from a flagged KPI into the underlying Unifier cost record or P6 activity shortens root-cause investigation.
- Workflow and process analytics show where approvals are stalling across projects.
By phase
- Construction
- During delivery, teams track schedule progress, cost variance and workflow cycle times against live P6 / Primavera Cloud schedule and Unifier cost data.
- Weekly safety risk forecasts are issued for active jobsites and drive where preventive effort goes that week.
- Root-cause investigation of an emerging delay or overrun runs on consolidated data rather than reports pulled from each source system.
