About

VIKTOR is a cloud platform on which engineers build and share their own web applications in Python, turning private spreadsheets and one-off scripts into governed tools colleagues can run in a browser. Those apps drive the CAD, BIM and analysis software a firm already owns — Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, Tekla, SCIA Engineer, PLAXIS, the Deltares D-Series and around thirty others — through an installed worker or an OAuth connection, so a design check can read a model, run the solver and write the report without manual file handling. It is used mainly by structural, civil, geotechnical and MEP engineers, and the same platform serves mechanical and process disciplines outside AEC.

How teams use it

By audience

Structural Engineering
  • Wrap the firm's own beam, column and footing checks as browser apps so every engineer runs the same verified calculation instead of a private spreadsheet.
  • Drive SCIA Engineer, RFEM, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis and IDEA StatiCa from one app, so a load case reaches the solver without manual re-entry.
  • Push and pull Revit and Tekla geometry from the same app, closing the model-to-analysis loop.
Civil Engineering
  • Automate geotechnical checks against the Deltares D-Series (D-Stability, D-Settlement, D-Sheet Piling, D-Foundations) and PLAXIS from a single interface.
  • Standardise pile capacity, settlement and slope-stability workflows across offices so results are reproducible rather than per-engineer.
  • Publish hydraulic sizing tools (channel capacity, weir flow, water hammer) as apps colleagues run with nothing installed.
MEP Engineering
  • Build pump and duct system-curve, pipe-sizing and pressure-drop tools as shared apps rather than circulating spreadsheets.
  • Feed sizing results straight into Word, Excel and PDF report exports for the design file.
Architecture
  • Run early massing, buildable-area, parking-layout and sun/shadow studies as parametric apps and iterate options in the browser.
  • Put a web front end on a Rhino/Grasshopper definition so colleagues who do not use Grasshopper can still drive the model.
BIM Manager
  • Stand up IFC viewers, class breakdowns and material quantity takeoffs as internal apps without buying another tool.
  • Query Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk Platform Services (Data Management, AEC Data Model and Data Exchange APIs) to automate model QA and compliance checks.
  • Distribute those checks to project teams centrally instead of as desktop scripts each user maintains.

Concept & Planning
  • Run optioneering and optimisation apps over massing, site and layout parameters before the design is fixed.
  • Give non-specialists a browser front end to a computational model so options get tested in the meeting rather than offline.
Design
  • Automate code checks (ACI 318, Eurocode) and drive the firm's analysis packages from one app.
  • Move model data between Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, Tekla and the solver without manual export and re-import.
  • Generate the calculation report (Word, Excel, PDF) as an output of the same app that ran the check.
