TriNet is a professional employer organization (PEO) that runs payroll, payroll tax filing, employee benefits, workers' compensation and HR compliance for small and mid-sized employers through its own HR platform. After each pay run it creates payroll journal entries for the client's accounting system, and it exposes employee, company, payroll and time-off data through a REST API.
