For connector vendors

The seat a company that makes connector products can have, how its Catalogue tab works, and how integrations delivered through a connector are owned.

A connector product carries data between other products, the way an iPaaS platform such as Zapier or Workato does. This page is for the company that makes one. It also covers integrations delivered through a connector, which matter to the vendors at their ends too.

Your seat

A vendor whose products are all connectors is not invoiced for a seat. It can have a catalogue-maintenance seat instead, which covers its connector listings, the products each connector reaches, and the evidence for each. In the portal, the plan panel says the seat maintains your connector catalogue, and its plan badge reads Free.

That seat is on the Free plan. Like any Free seat, it can edit your company details and each product's description, website, logo and categories. It cannot confirm data flows. The other product details stay with the AEC Integrations team.

We handle connector-vendor claims by conversation rather than by the usual approve or decline, so you will hear from us directly rather than by an automatic email. Claiming your vendor listing covers the claim form itself.

The Catalogue tab

The seat's work is on the Catalogue tab of your connector product: open Products, choose the connector, then Catalogue. The overview links there too. The tab lists every listing in your published catalogue and which product on AEC Integrations each one is. Once we hand the catalogue to your company, each match has an Edit button: you can change the product, rule a product out, mark a listing as outside our scope, set how confident the match is, and add a link that shows the evidence. A match you save counts toward that product's reach on AEC Integrations. Until the handover, the tab is read-only and says we maintain the catalogue. A listing with no match yet gets one from us. See Current limits.

If your company owns integrations

If your company owns integrations and sells them, it is treated as an ordinary vendor on Free or Managed, not a catalogue-maintenance seat. See Plans. Claiming and editing the integrations it offers through a connector needs Managed. Owning an integration explains the rest of what an owner does.

Integrations delivered through a connector

Where a connector product carries the data and your company holds neither product, the company recorded as the owner can claim the integration, if it is on the Managed plan. That includes a company that sells the connector and makes neither product. Those integrations appear on your Integrations tab under Integrations your company offers, as a list of cards rather than a page each, because they have no product of yours at either end. Once you claim one, AEC Integrations stops updating it. On Managed you can then edit its details and retire or restore it, from the same card. Its type is set by AEC Integrations and cannot be edited. Retiring it also stops it counting on the connector product. No company can add links to one, or add a new one. Other companies can still request a change on one that appears on their Integrations tab.

Where your company does hold a product at one end and the connection later becomes connector-delivered, the integration keeps its own page. Its Integration links section stops offering your product's group, and your existing links no longer show on the public page. They still appear in your product's group there, and you can remove them.
