About

Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory, is Microsoft's cloud identity service: the single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and user-provisioning layer in front of a firm's cloud applications. It is the directory behind every Microsoft 365 tenant, so most AEC firms already own it, and construction and design vendors register SAML and SCIM listings in the Entra gallery so their apps can be governed by it. IT teams use it to grant a new hire the whole toolchain on day one and revoke it on the last, with Conditional Access, passwordless sign-in, privileged identity management and access reviews on top.

  • Puts one Microsoft 365 login in front of Procore, Autodesk Forma, Bluebeam, Deltek and Sage, so a project team stops keeping a password per tool.

  • Provisions and deprovisions accounts automatically over SCIM: a new PM lands in every connected app on day one and loses access everywhere on the last.
  • Registers the firm's AEC vendor apps from the Microsoft Entra gallery, which is where construction and design software vendors publish their SAML and SCIM listings.
  • Gives IT sign-in and audit logs of who opened which project system and when — the evidence an owner's or insurer's security questionnaire actually asks for.
